Mochary Programs has created an intensive, after-school filmmaking workshop at the North Miami Beach High School for the 2005 spring semester. The program runs from 3-6PM, Monday thru Thursday, with student films being shot on weekends. The program has selected six exceptionally talented and motivated students and will teach them the basics of filmmaking. By the end of the four-month workshop, each student will have completed three films that they will have written, directed and edited. These films will be used as their reel to apply to film schools or get jobs in the industry. The program also hopes to help each student gain admission to one of the top undergraduate film programs in the country. If the students are accepted into one of these schools, then the school will provide financial assistance allowing the students to attend.
